Indian Students: After completing their MBBS in Russia, Indian students have no problems passing the FMGE screening examination. University syllabuses are also brought up to date with the screening test syllabus. Students are prepared for the MCI screening examination at Russian MBBS universities. MCI training begins in the first year of MBBS services.
Aspects of Recognition and the Future
Since the World Health Organization and the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) have accepted Russian medical degrees. All international medical graduates are allowed to practise medicine anywhere in the world, including in their own country. The requirement is that they must pass examinations administered by local medical bodies in the respective countries. In India, for example, all foreign-educated doctors must pass the MCI test.
