Seoul National University Scholarships at Undergraduate Level:

Students can apply for this scholarship before or during the application period for admission. It is a 4-year scholarship to study at Seoul National University.

Students applying to study fields of more than 4 years such as medicine or engineering cannot apply for this scholarship as it does not support these programs.

Number of scholarships:

Between 20-40 scholarships are offered at Seoul National University each year.

Submission period:

What the scholarship covers:

The Seoul National University Undergraduate Scholarships are fully funded, as they cover all costs as follows:

1. 100% full tuition fee coverage for 8 semesters (4 years).
2. Covering monthly living expenses, which is KRW 900,000.
3. Round-trip airfare in economy class.
4. The scholarship also covers Korean language tuition fees for one year.
• Note: Korean language training is mandatory and if a student does not obtain a third class in TOPIK within a year, he will not be eligible to enter the degree program.
5. The scholarship also covers medical insurance, settlement and return expenses.

Selection procedure:

1. In order to be able to apply for this scholarship, you first visit the Korean Embassy in your country and apply for the program through it.
2. The embassy makes the first choice.

International students applying for the Korean Government Scholarships at Seoul University as a participating university can apply for the scholarship.

Number of annual grants:

1. The scholarship covers all tuition fees for 4 semesters of master’s programs and 6 semesters of doctoral programmes.

3. Round-trip economy class airfare.
4. The scholarship also covers Korean language tuition fees for one year.
